Description

The Mantis axe was designed by Alessandro Olivetto, already designer of other products of our cutlery and winner of the Blade Show 2021 “Most Innovative Import Design” with our knife D-Dut.

Mantis is a cutting tool for outdoor use that wants to be both an axe (MAssaNc in Friuli) and a knife (Curtis in Friuli). Mantis whose profile resembles a mantis (Mantis) is a very solid tool, with a small size (it is as long as a fixed blade dagger) and suitable for loads of intense work.
It can be grasped percussively – like an axe – but also at the height of the blade to be used as a knife. You can also cut branches and ropes of considerable diameter and can be used to perform refining work such as making the tip, barking, create grafting marks, dowels, etc.

Mantis is also equipped with holes for lanyards and a tail tip for pierced slit.

The curve of the handle, while using percussion, allows a handle away from the cutting line, thus increasing the safety of use.
