Description
Nicolai Lilin, a Russian writer, of Siberian origin, designed Reactor to commemorate an operation of Russian naval special forces in 2010, near the coast of Somalia, where in 22 minutes two corps of Russian marines rescued a hijacked mercantile ship carrying oil from pirates. Due to the presence of flammable petroleum firearms could not be used by the special forces to retake the ship and save the crew, and thus proceeded to combat and defeat the pirates with just their knives. In 22 minutes, the marines captured 30 pirates. This was a unique operation in the history of international special forces. The Reactor is dedicated to all special forces that use bladed weapons.
